Description
CRKT M4-02W Carson, 3.25″ Assisted Blade, Burl Wood Handle w/ Steel Bolster
Although legendary knifemaker Kit Carson is probably best known for creating the revered M16 series with CRKT, the M4 had become Kit’s most consistent selling custom knife since 1990 and for good reason. The knife was a work of art.
To help bring the knife to the masses, Kit teamed up with CRKT for a production model of his knife. That’s where the CRKT M4-02 comes in.
This version of the M4 is smaller than the original and the perfect size for an everyday carry.
The knife has a 3.25-inch drop point blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel with a plain edge and a hollow grind. Featuring a bead-blasted finish, the blade locks into place using the LAWKS mechanism to prevent accidental closure when in use.
This version of the knife is the CRKT M4-02W, which is a deluxe model with handsome burled wood scales and stainless steel bolsters. You can also get the M4-02 with a white bone handle and black bolsters or the M4-02S with a stag handle.
Since a knife is only as good as how fast you can deploy it, the M4-02 features the Outburst assisted opening mechanism that allows for quick one-handed opening when the ambidextrous thumb stud is pushed out.
Includes a high-mounted pocket clip.
